Bagged Walling and Rubble Walling Stone

Our rubble/bagged sandstone walling is supplied per bag, with each bag yielding approximately 3-3.5m2. This walling is unscreened and has a varying bed depth of between 100 and 200mm at random lengths and heights, which produces a random rubble style of wall once built.

Bagged sandstone walling offers the most traditional appearance and is normally the most cost effective option when purchasing walling stone, however it does take longer to build and there is often more waste when compared to the pitched faced walling and this should be taken into account when calculating costs. Bagged and Rubble walling can also be more difficult to build, and often requires a different skill set compared to building with either coursed walling or ashlar.

Currently, our bagged/rubble walling stone is only available in our Longridge Sandstone. As this product is produced as part of the quarrying process rather than being cut to order, availability of our bagged and rubble walling can vary, so it is always worth getting in touch to confirm whether we have any stock available or what our expected lead time will be for the quantity you require.
