Due to the nature of restoration work there are no standard or typical details for a masonry supplier to work with when starting to plan the repairs to an existing building. This is why our team of natural stone experts work closely with both the design team and contractors to establish accurate profiles for each stone needing replaced. Our skilled masons regularly replicate the original dressing on stone components from site templates, photographs and sections of the original masonry, allowing us to help retain the character of the original building once restored.

On a typical restoration project it is not uncommon for every stone to be a different size. At Cumbrian Stone, we cut each stone to order, meaning that we are able to cut and reference each stone unit to the exact size that you require for your project. This helps minimise time lost on site, and ensures that your restoration project is completed to the highest possible standard.
