How Our Service Works

We offer an optional design service for the natural stone element of projects where Cumbrian Stone is contracted for the stone supply. This service is charged at an additional fee over and above the stone supply cost.

If required, our team will work with you and your design team to produce full CAD component and layout drawings for the natural stone element of the design, enabling the accurate quotation, manufacture and construction of your project.

These component drawings and schedules are usually produced by working from the architect’s elevation and floorplan drawings, ensuring that each component fits with your finished building. We can also work closely with your chosen structural engineer/steel fabricators, window manufacturers and site team to ensure that these components tie together perfectly once they arrive on site.

We do not currently offer our Natural Stone Design as a stand alone service, only as part of a design and supply package. 

How Long Does Natural Stone Design Take?

The lead time for your design will depend on the size and complexity of your project, and will also be influenced by how many other projects we have in our design queue at the time of your order. We always recommend securing your deign as early as possible once your construction issue drawings have been finalised in order to help minimise the risk of any delays, as often we are unable to commence your production lead time until the design has been completed and signed off by your team.
