The testing that each stone requires will be dependent on its intended purpose (there’s not much use in checking the slip resistance of an arch or the frost resistance of a fire surround). Our team can work with your structural engineer to identify the required testing for your stone, and if this had already been carried out on one of our stones we can supply you with the technical data. We do recommend that individual, up to date testing is carried out on certain projects on a contract by contract basis, especially where the results are key to the integrity of the finished system (for example, thin cladding rail systems). 

As a general rule, we would always recommend that natural stone is self supporting rather than structural, and would recommend speaking to a structural engineer if you are unsure whether your chosen natural stone is suitable for your project.
